Shop Roaster: Opening The Roasting Drum & Cleaning The Front Glass

No Parts Required.

Tool : 

• 4mm Allen Wrench

• Glass scraper

Process : 

1. Ensure that the roaster is powered down, unplugged, and cool enough to touch. 

2. Remove the cover by rotating it anti-clockwise. Once removed the screws will be exposed.  
3. Using a 4mm allen key, reach through the cutouts in the Safety Glass to loosen the 6 fasteners (circled in RED in the image below) to release the glass door assembly. The fasteners will remain captive between the door pieces.
4. Rest the glass on a towel or soft surface and then scrape the glass with a sharp bled, paying attention to not damage the gasket that seals to the drum. 
5. Dip the tips of each of the captive fasteners with some food safe anti-seize or super lube
6. Refit the glass door assembly to the roaster. 
7. Tighten down the fasteners of the assembly onto the roaster, screw in the fasteners in a star pattern around the glass like you would the lug nuts of a tire.  Be careful to not overtighten the fasteners.
