Tools Required :
- Metric allen key set
- Metric socket set
- Philips #1 Screwdriver
- Wire stripper/cutter
- Zipties
Process :
- Follow steps 1-6 of the guide for fan replacement at the following link: https://help.bellwethercoffee.com/series-2-replacing-exhaust-fan
- Snip the wires between the lid and the existing fan at a spot that leaves plenty of slack on the lid/connector side to reach the new fan. Strip the wires back and insert ends into half of the slots on the Wago connectors. If only two-wire connectors are available, take care to twist the two red and two black wires together before inserting into connector.
- Connect the other slot in the Wago connector to the new fan making sure to correctly match the colors. You can use electrician's zipties to keep wires tidy and act as a strain relief under tension.
