Shop Roaster: Adding Shims To The Chaff Collector

No Tools Required.

Process:

1. Remove the Main Chaff/Water Collector by pulling the latch and removing from the machine.
   

2. Remove the internal chaff collector container from the main portion.
   
3. Place a set of shims (sets are printed with the size on them, 1mm, 2mm, 3mm) inside of the main bulk collector.  One goes toward the front and one toward the back as indicated by the arrows in the image below.
   
4. Place the main Chaff/Water Collector back into the machine and lock into plays using the latch.  Evaluate the strength of the seal based on how hard it is to lock into place.  If the latch feels too loose to lock in, add a thicker shim.  If you struggle to be able to lock the latch, use a smaller shim.  We are looking for good compression on the seal as indicated by a firm amount of force to lock the latch.  Shims can be stacked as necessary.
