Tools :
- Metric Allen Key set
- 13mm socket ?(adjustable wrench)
- zip ties
Process :
- Remove the filter box from the roaster following this guide.
- Unplug the bypass motor (Green circle). Loosen the sanitary clamp holding the bypass to the roaster (Red circle).
- Once the clamp is loosened enough remove the assembly by pulling it straight back and out of the machine.
- Inspect the inside of the roaster for any burns or blocks in the duct for the bypass. Inspect the bushing for the bypass shaft on the inside of the roaster.
- While the assembly is out of the roaster remove the bypass motor from the assembly. Loosen the coupler on the motor side of the coupler.
- Next remove the bypass motor from the assembly by removing the four screws fastening the motor to the bracket.
- Insert the bypass into the roaster following the picture below.
- Install the sanitary clamp around the bypass but keep it loose enough to move the bypass around to center.
- Use the Coupling to rotate the bypass Valve and ensure there is no mechanical binding. If binding is occurring, adjust the positioning of the bypass Plate (usually upward) while simultaneously rotating the Coupling until rotation is smooth. Now we may tighten the 4” Sanitary Clamp, once the bypass valve turns freely.
- Reinstall the bypass motor, plug in the bypass motor, and secure the coupler.
- Reinstall the filter box.
- Turn roaster on and run a hot test to verify functions.
