Required Tools:
- Philips Screwdriver
- Metric Allen key set
- Window scraping tool
- Coffee machine cleaner
- Compressed air
Initial / Site Preparation
- Power down Roaster with switch at back-bottom-left and disconnect power cord
- Remove side panels
Counter top:
- Position in a comfortable place to access rear of machine
Continuous
Remove wheel chock
- Roll roaster out for access to rear and sides
- Remove Side Panels on Autoloader

- Inspect the Main PCB
- Inspect for any loose wiring or connectors
- Inspect TC wiring and connectors
- Bean Probe: confirm 23mm depth into drum and wire sheath present
- Remove any dust with compressed air
- Vacuum and inspect inside of the roaster as visible behind the side panels.
- Note: DO NOT add lubrication to the Bean Drop drive screw
- Vacuum/wipe down the inside of the copper Hopper and ball valve area
- Inspect for evidence of chaff/steam leaks around the cyclone
- If Countertop: Vacuum out the Chaff Can and Cyclone
- If Continuous:
- Vacuum out Chaff Collector bucket and inside of the tube that carries the chaff down into the bucket from the roaster. If this was totally or nearly totally clogged, send images to Bellwether Support.
- Vacuum out the Autobucket and beneath Prefilters

- Remove screws securing Glass to Roaster
- Use a sharp blade/window scraper to remove debris
- Refit glass

- Remove the exhaust brick(s) at the lower part of heat exchanger, soak in coffee machine cleaner, rinse off, set aside to dry
- Remove the Head Block from the top of the Heat Exchange
- Loosen/remove the side plate of Heat Exchange
- Remove the 4 separate plates internal to the heat exchange. Soak in coffee cleaner, rinse off, set aside to dry.
- Refit panels taking care to ensure single fin/panel 1 is facing inward.
- Inspect the following tubing and elbows. DO NOT DISCONNECT TUBES FROM MAIN BLOWER
- Inlet to Blower tube
- Exhaust to blower tube, clean elbow fitting, soak in cleaner if necessary
- Exhaust to Water bottle tube, clean elbow fitting, soak in cleaner if necessary

- Remove Carbon and HEPA filters
- Clean Exhaust Fans
- Remove the cover to fans.
- Remove the impellers from the motor shaft by loosening lock screw (⅛” allen)
- Clean impellers with coffee cleaner, rinse, dry, refit fan blades and covers
- Clean the interior of fan box, make sure that it is clean and dry
- Fit new HEPA
- Fit new carbon


- Verify fans on left and right side of unit are drawing in air
- Confirm Bean Load is closing and opening completely. If not, check lockscrew LINK

- Empty the Autoload of any green coffee using the Tech Panel’s “Empty Autoload”
- Vacuum out the Autoload, Outside and inside of the hopper, but take extra care to get any beans that may be lodged between the hopper and the funnel that contains the auger. These can cause dosing inconsistencies.
- Place a 5lb / 2.27kg weight inside of the empty Autoload Hopper.
- Log into the Tech Panel and check that the weight is registering correctly.
- If not, follow the instruction for recalibration. LINK
